Small island in the middle of reservor awakes to early spring.
Original artwork, large wall hanging, abstract landscape, felt pieces sewn on stretched canvas, 46" x 49" x 2" in size, created in 1998.
Alina Deutsch has painted with acrylic on canvas and large straw mats, created large wall-hangings made of felt on canvas, and built various Styrofoam and wire constructions for over 35 years.
Alina is primarily inspired by the brilliant spring and fall colors of her Chappaqua residence, with its rich foliage and rolling hills, as well as the many wonderful places she traveled around the world. She continues to explore the hidden beauty in the natural environment and considers many of her creations to be allegories of the hidden treasures that life can offer us everyday.
